¾«¶«Ó°Òµ

Admission is free

It’s that time of year again!

The is back and better than ever with a brand-new location. ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ ISD’s new Glaspie Field at Martin High School will host the 44^th annual musical celebration on Monday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m., and you are invited. Admission is FREE.

All six of ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ ISD’s phenomenal high school marching bands (¾«¶«Ó°Òµ, Bowie, Lamar, Martin, Sam Houston and Seguin) will perform as they set their eyes on the UIL Region Marching Contest later in the fall.

The University of Texas at ¾«¶«Ó°Òµâ€™s marching band will also perform at the extravaganza, giving district students the opportunity to see a university marching band up close.

The extravaganza honors the legacy of Dean P. Corey, an ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ High School band director from 1949-1972, who later served as coordinator of music activities for the district from 1972-1980. Corey is also the namesake of ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ ISD’s elementary school Corey Academy of Fine Arts and Dual Language.
